Brief statement of the purpose of this position:

Oversee the premium remittance process inclusive of remittance reports, refunds, takeovers, VPIs and NSFs. Monitor the day-to-day flow and troubleshooting of problems as they arise; must possess strong communication skills to work with Customer Response, Account Coordinators, and Premium Collection departments on a daily basis. The intent of this process, down the road, is to focus on automation of ACH payments and electronic premium remittance reports. This will result in cost savings to Infinisource as well as manpower savings and expediting the release of client remittance payments. Also, general accounting functions inclusive of account reconciliation, journal entries and various invoicing.

Primary responsibilities of this position:

1. Monthly processing of premium remittance reports

2. PC reconcillation after each remittance process to balance our liability accounts

3. Prepare monthly premium billing reports & remittance checks reconcile corresponding liability accounts

4. Troubleshoot, research and correct all premium remittance problems with Customer Support and vendors

5. Process monthly reversing journal entries

6. Daily journal entries for PC cash receipts and premium billing cash receipts

7. Daily journal entries for Infinisource cash receipts

8. Indexing all contracts that come through Finance

9. Various Finance projects (research, eFinancial, account reconciliation, etc)

Education and experience:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;or three to five years related experience.
